latexTranslator is a project I completed with UCI professor Zhiqin Lu to translate his hand-written math equations into latex and pdf. A detailed setup process is posted in the github README page.

This project utilized ChatGPT and mathpix api. It treats each input page as an image, uses the api to extract the equations and images, and return latex files containing the translated text for each page, and a pdf for the combined pages. It also allows translating between different languages.

To use this project, an OpenAI/mathpix api key is essential. In later versions, a model will be trained and deployed to the server specifically for translating these hand-written scripts to latex. The custom model function has not been implemented in current version.
